Abstract submission


I. Oral Presentation

Guidelines for Abstract Presentation
1. The abstract must be typed in English and should not exceed 300 words.
2. The abstract must describe the objectives and results of the study to be evaluated by  the        Scientific Committee.
3. The abstract presented should contain:
a. An introduction including the purpose of the study.
b. A brief description of the method and materials.
c. A summary of the results.
d. A statement of conclusions.
4. Illustrations are not permitted. However, a brief clear table is acceptable if typed within the space provided on the abstract form.
5. Please kindly note that the time allowed for each presentation will be allocated by the Scientific Committee with 10  minutes for questions and discussion.
6. The author should send the summary of his/her curriculum vitae.
7. A passport-size photograph is required.
8. The abstract must be sent by March 15, 2009.

II. Poster Presentation

A. Poster Format
Your poster is required to fit the specifications outlined below:
• Stand Size is:2.5 meters (high) by 1.0 meters (wide)
• Poster Size: should not exceed 1.50 meters (high) by 0.9 meters (wide)
• Poster Materials: Your poster can be made from paper or cardboard and best laminated.
• Poster Text: There are no specifications for text/font size. Text should be sufficient size   for easy reading at a distance of 1.5 meters.

B. Poster Set Up
You are responsible for setting up and taking down your own poster during the Congress as per the following details:
• Venue: Pavillon Royal – Biel. Further directions to the poster boards will be provided at   the poster presentation area.
Set Up Time:
First session:      08:30 – 09:00 
Second session:  13:30 – 14:00
Viewing/Q&A Time:
First session:       09:30 – 13:00
Second session:  14:00 – 17:0
You are required to be next to your poster for the period of your session.
Removal Time:
 First session:     13:00
 Second session: 17:00
• Availability for Q&A: If you are happy to be contacted by participants at other times outside the Q&A Time Period, please place your mobile number on or near your poster.
 
C. Poster Tips
• Title: Your title sign should be mounted at the top of the poster. It should include the presenter(s)name(s).
• Body of poster: Use arrows, numbers or letters as required to indicate the reading order. Use clear labels for each section of your poster.
• Font: Use lettering that can be read from 1.5 meters away e.g. Arial, bold font.
